Signed Up For Information About Becoming A Video Game Tester

Posted in Uncategorized on June 30th, 2011 by

Earlier on this evening I put my name down on a list to receive information about how to become a video game tester online. I am always keeping my eye open for ideas for new careers, so was pretty excited when I realised the possibility of getting paid to play games. Apparently the pay is quite low, but you have to balance that against the prospect of actually enjoying the job you do.

I read through Daniel’s great weblog about becoming a games tester and found it really inspiring. He was working in a deadbeat job for years prior to getting his big break. So why can’t I? I will sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning, but either way I am definitely interested.

My New Inflatable Bouncer

Posted in Uncategorized on June 28th, 2011 by

Buying a gift for kids these days that doesn’t involve electronics is difficult. I spent hours poring over the toys catalogue before finding the inflatable bouncers section. I decided to buy her a bounce house as it was good for encouraging her to get active, and it looked like great fun too. I hope she likes it, it has a castle design and is made by blast zone. It had really good consumer reviews and feedback so I am confident it will be a hit at her birthday party which is next weekend. There will be 10 kids there and the weather is looking good, so I am really excited!

Getting Rid Of Cellulite Is A Difficult Task!

Posted in Uncategorized on June 28th, 2011 by

Well it has been nearly 1 month now since my wife started her new cellulite treatment and I have to say the results are looking very good indeed! Despite being middle aged, she has only recently started to show signs of cellulite around her stomach area and thighs, but she found it very distressing indeed. She stayed up at night for hours looking for information about how to get rid of cellulite until she finally found a good product recommendation. She started the regime 30 days ago and I have been more than impressed with the transformation.

I just hope that it is a permanent thing, as it would be terrible for her to lapse back into her old ways. I was really causing her misery and I hated seeing her like that. If you are interested in finding out more send me a message and I will let you know what she was trying.

I Have Been Using an Inversion Table for Three Weeks Now

Posted in Uncategorized on June 23rd, 2011 by

I decided to take a gamble three weeks ago, and after looking into inversion therapy, I decided to give it a try. My back has been playing up recently, and causing me a lot of pain. I guess it is because I spend a lot of time sitting down in my office, I really should get more exercise. I spoke with my doctor, and did a lot of research online and finally decided to purchase an inversion table to see if it will help with my back pain.

Well, I have been using it for 3 weeks now, and I have to say it is actually helping. Immediately after using the inversion table I notice that I can feel a great sense of pain relief, and this effect usually lasts for hours. As the days have gone past, my back pain has eased tremendously. Apparently, the inversion table works by reducing gravities pressure on your spine, which promotes healing.

After reading through numerous reviews, I opted for this ironman inversion table as they seemed to have the best reviews online and seemed to be the highest quality, and sturdiness was very important to me. It did cost a lot more than the others, but overall I am extremely happy with it. Definitely a case of three hundred bucks well spent. At the weekend I will be helping my sister move house, so it will involve a lot of heavy lifting, at least now I don’t have to worry too much about giving up after twenty minutes due to back pain, I am confident I will be able to help all day. I think after that she owes me a nice dinner! But I don’t mind helping her move, she has done a lot for me in the past so it’s the least I could do.

I am looking forward to using my ironman inversion table again tonight, it’s actually quite good fun!

My Wife Has Just Started Her Driving Instructor Training Course

Posted in Uncategorized on June 22nd, 2011 by

I am not sure if it’s a mid life crisis, or if she is just trying to get away from me, but my wife has decided to start a new career. This week she started her driving instructor training at a local driving school.  She has worked in the bookstore with me for over 15 years, but she has decided she needs a change from working here. She has long been interested in working as a driving instructor as she loves cars and has to be her own boss; she couldn’t stand working for someone else. Obviously she is a bit nervous as there is a lot to learn, and it’s more difficult to take things in as you get older, but I am confident she will do just fine.

Funnily enough, she started researching how to become a driving instructor after watching a TV show about driving instructors on cable a few months ago. She is really attracted to the idea of being out and about all day, and working with lots of different people. The book store can get quiet at times, so I think she really misses interacting with lots of individuals. I always got on with my driving instructor when I was learning to drive, so I am sure she will meet some good friends by doing this job – also the money is good too! To be honest, I think it will be good for both of us to spend less time together, as we were starting to get under each other’s feet a bit.

The driving instructor training course lasts for 12 months and is costing us just over four thousand dollars, but she should be on track to profit by up to fifty thousand per year, so the cost of the training is relatively small. We will be able to afford so much more with this extra wage coming in.

I will post updates here on how she is getting on with the driving instructor training process, and once she is qualified I will post up a photo of her certificate.

Welcome To Cover To Cover Online Book Store

Posted in Uncategorized on June 21st, 2011 by

Hi, welcome to our online bookstore. We hope you like the relaunched blog, and find the information and products you are looking for. We launched our online store in 2011 after acquiring the rather catchy name “covertocoverbooksellers.com” online. Me and my wife have been avid bookworms all of our lives, and after 15 years of running our own high street book store, we have decided to branch out and open up an online shop too. We are still new at this, so forgive us if the blog looks a bit rough round the edges, but we hope to start having some products listed online soon, and of course to have a functioning shopping cart!

We will also use the blog as an online diary, so expect to see frequent postings from me and my wife about what we have been up to, and if there is anything new going on with our store. I have yet to get started on creating pages for all the hundreds of products we will be offering for sale, however I hope to have this task completed within the next few months.

If you would like to get in touch with us, feel free to drop us a line via telephone, email, or blog comment, and we will of course get back to you as soon as possible. Until then, happy shopping, and of course, happy reading!
